Patricia “Pat” Pushee (1926-2019)

Patricia “Pat” P. Pushee, 92, of Montpelier passed away Thursday evening at her home. She was born on November 15, 1926 in Montpelier to Henry Albert and Hildreth Lenore (Drake) Houk. Pat graduated from Montpelier High School in 1944. She married Dale R. Pushee on January 22, 1949 in Montpelier and he survives.

Pat was a member of West Bethesda Presbyterian Church in Montpelier.  Pat worked at Kroger Company and at Farmers and Merchants State Bank.  She then worked 37 years at the National Bank of Montpelier as a teller and then the Vice President, retiring in 1989. Pat did an additional nine years at the bank as a bank director. Family was very important to Pat and she enjoyed spending time with those she loved.

She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Dale; son-in-law Michael J. Douglass of Edon; three grandchildren, Kyle (Kirsten) Douglass of Lausanne, Switzerland, Kevin (Bethany) Douglass of Edon, and Katyann (Jared) Dick of Edon; one great grandson Logan Douglass; and siblings Roger (Jeanine) Houk of Coldwater, Michigan, Nancy Martin of Montpelier, Sue Dewire of Montpelier and Ric (Mary Ann) Houk of Montpelier. Pat was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Christene Ann Douglass, and two brothers Lyn B. Houk and Nic L. Houk.

Services will be on Monday at 10am at West Bethesda Presbyterian Church with Pastor Mary Beth McCandless to officiate. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery.
