WAUSEON, April 21– The Pettisville Blackbirds played a home game, using Wauseon’s Biddle Field as their home diamond for April, hosting the Fayette Eagles on April 21. Pettisville came out on top in the BBC showdown 6-1 over the visiting Eagles.
Noah Miller took home the victory on the mound for Pettisville, going 5 innings in the game, giving up only 2 hits while fanning 9 batters. Christian Barhite also went an inning allowing 2 hits and 1 run, while Tate Kauffman tossed an inning giving up no hits and no runs.
Offensively for Pettisville, Miller also held serve at the plate, going 1 for 3 with a home run; Logan Nofzinger went 2 for 3 and Gabe Beck went 1 for 3 with 2 RBI’s to his credit. Eli King and Barhite also hit for singles in the Pettisville win.
For the Eagles, Koby Biddix was hit with the loss, going the distance for Fayette, allowing 4 earned runs off of 6 hits while sitting down 6 batters. Offensively for Fayette Jared Wagner, Noah Logston, Biddix and Casen Burkholder each had hits in the Eagles loss.
Pettisville moves to 2-3 on the season in the BBC while moving to 2-7 on the season. Fayette falls to 0-5 in the BBC and 0-5 on the year.
