Rebecca “Becky” Brown (1940-2023)

Rebecca “Becky” J. Brown, 82, of Montpelier passed away at her home on March 20, 2023. She was born on December 29, 1940 in Styker to Roe and Kathryn N. (Wise) Stantz.

Becky attended Stryker High School. On December 6, 1958 she married Ronald Lee Brown and he preceded her in death in 2022.

Becky worked at several factories in Williams County.  She loved camping with her husband Ron, going out to eat with family on Friday nights, feeding and watching her birds, gardening and looking through magazines.

She is survived by her son Ronald D. Brown of Montpelier; grandchildren Michael (Destany Duvall) Brown, Brooke (AJ) Williams and Alec Waterston; nine great grandchildren; and sisters Dinah (Hector) Camarillo of Bryan and Gretchen (Tracey) Reliford of Edgerton.

Becky was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ron, son Jerry Brown, great great grandchild Liam Brown, and sisters Marjorie Keck and Caroline Altaffer.

Visitation for Becky will be on Thursday, March 23rd from 3-7pm at the Thompson Funeral Home in Montpelier. Services will be on Friday at 11am at the funeral home with Jerry Freese to officiate.

Memorial contributions may be given to the family to help offset costs.
