Rigoberto A. Reyes, 63 years, of Defiance, passed away Saturday, July 16, 2016 at Community Health Professionals Inpatient Hospice, Defiance, with his family at his side. Rigoberto was born on November 12, 1952 in Edinburg, Texas, the son of the late Juan and Dolores (Arjona) Reyes.
He was employed as a truck driver for Image Industries in Dallas, Texas, for 15 years, retiring due to a disability in 2001. He had formerly worked in the Warehouse for Open Road Industries in Dallas, Texas. Rigo was an avid walker and loved to exercise. He also enjoyed watching WWE wrestling. He was well known as a wonderful cook. You never wanted to miss a meal he prepared.
Surviving are his two sons, Rudy (Ludivina) Reyes of Defiance and Rigo Reyes, Jr. of Dallas, Texas; ten grandchildren, Andrew, Cameron, Justice and Riley Reyes, Rudy Jr., Mark and Erika Reyes, Isaac B., Johnny Jr. and Mariah Reyes; two great-grandchildren, Jacob and Kaiden; three brothers, Pastor Eliazar Reyes of Archbold, Raul Reyes of Phoenix, Arizona and Carlos Reyes of Stryker; two sisters, Virginia Garcia of Archbold and Juana Gonzales of Adrian, Michigan; and his companion, Virginia Facundo.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Johnny Reyes and one brother, Manuel Reyes.
