Ronald Zumfelde, age 81, of Pettisville, passed away at the Fulton County Health Center on Aug. 16, 2026. Ron worked for Continental Security for many years and started his career as a teacher.
Ron was born on Dec. 31, 1944, in Napoleon, to the late Adolf and Lorena (Rickenberg) Zumfelde.
He later married Dianne Zumfelde, who preceded him in death in 2025, and he was looking forward to being reunited with her again.
Ron was a member of Pettisville Missionary Church. Ron loved watching sports, especially basketball. He recently enjoyed watching Christian shows on WLMB. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.
Ron is survived by his daughter, Lori (James) Zumfelde; grandchildren, Daize Mathers, Cadyn (Cass) Zumfelde, Erich Preston, Robert Hocking, and Christopher Hocking; brother, Eldon Zumfelde; nephew, Marvin Zumfelde, Jr.; niece, Chris Wallace; niece, Brenda Zumfelde; and many more nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dianne; parents; stepdaughter, Monica Hocking; and brothers, Marvin Zumfelde, Sr. and Ray Zumfelde.
