Sharon Ann Mathers, age 72, of Delta, passed away Wednesday afternoon, October 19, 2022 at the University of Toledo Medical Center.
She was born in Napoleon on July 1, 1950 to the late Orla F. Erford and Olga (Baden) Erford.
Sharon graduated from Hamler High School in 1969. She married Vincent Mathers and together were blessed with two daughters, Amy S. and Carie L. Mathers.
Before retiring, Sharon worked 19 years for Lear Corporation (IAC).
She was a member of the Delta Eagles and a past member of the Casino Club.
Sharon enjoyed tending to her flowers, landscaping, interior projects, bowling and most of all helping others.
She is survived by her daughter, Amy Sue Mathers; brother, Michael (Teresa) Erford of Malinta; sisters, Linda (Ray) Lewis of Holland and Janet (Doug) Morrill of Holland; grandson, Kyle P. Gaynor and great granddaughter, Kyiah Gaynor.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Carie Griffin in 2006; infant sisters, Amy and Mary Erford and son-in-law, James Griffin in 2021.
There will be no public services at this time and a celebration of life service will be announced at a later date. In honoring Sharon’s wishes, cremation has been entrusted to the care of Barnes Funeral Chapel and Crematory, 5825 St Hwy 109 in Delta.
