Timothy James Cook, known affectionately as Timmy, age 68, of Lyons, Ohio, passed away peacefully, Thursday morning, February 1, 2024 at Ebeid Hospice in Sylvania, Ohio.
He was born December 16, 1955, in Toledo, Ohio, to James and Helen (Mangum) Cook. Timmy attended Good Shepherd Catholic Grade School as well as Waite High School and Cardinal Stritch. On June 16, 1979, he married his beloved wife, Brenda Casares.
Timmy spent an impressive forty years working as a Foundry Technician for Bunting Bearings in Delta, Ohio. His commitment and expertise earned him the respect of his colleagues and made him an invaluable asset to the company.
Timmy held a special place in his heart for his family. He cherished every moment spent with them, especially when it came to his beloved grandkids.
In addition to being a devoted family man, Timmy had a passion for playing the drums and the great outdoors. Casting a fishing line in the water or setting up a campsite and sitting around a campfire brought him much joy and relaxation.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 44 years, Brenda; three sons, James (Annie) Cook, Scott Cook, and Brian Cook; his adoring grandchildren, Adalee, Carly, Jesse, Alanna, and Conner; his sister, Darla Cook (Jim) and his brother Karl (Rhonda) Cook; brothers and sisters-in-law, Duane (Barb) Casares, Dawn Casares and Doug (Cathy) Casares; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Timmy was preceded in death by his parents, James, and Helen Cook; father and mother-in-law, Jose, and Amada Casares; his baby sister, Jennifer Cook, and brothers-in-law, Ronald, and Rodney Casares.
Services for Timmy will be private. Memorial contributions in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society or Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Arrangements by Weigel Funeral Home (419.644.3601).
