Emma J. Kinzer, age 95, of Edon, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at her home. A graduate of Harlan High School, Emma was a farm wife, working on the family farm alongside her husband, Lester.
She attended First United Methodist Church in Montpelier, Ohio. Emma was a babysitter for many years. She was an avid bowler, enjoyed reading and traveling, and went to Florida for 20 years for the winter season.
Emma was born on July 12, 1930, the daughter of Robert and Vera (Blythe) Hissong. She married Lester L. Kinzer on December 11, 1948, and he preceded her in death on February 23, 2020.
Surviving are two sons, Kenneth Kinzer, of Hicksville, OH, and Larry Kinzer, of Edon; one daughter, Sharon Mayse, of Sylvania, Ohio; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son-in-law, Don Mayse; a grandson, Donnie Mayse and her sister, Ruth Miller.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Krill Funeral Home, 204 West Indiana Street, Edon. Services will follow at 1 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Eric Dailey officiating. Interment will be in Six Corners Cemetery near Hicksville.
