Donald “Don” D. Gulick, Jr., 68, of Montpelier, departed this earthly life on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at Parkview Randallia Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN.
He was born on February 1, 1955 in Lansing, MI to Donald D. Gulick, Sr., and Barbara J. (Leathers) Gulick.
Don graduated from Laingsburg High School in Laingsburg, MI. On July 19, 1974 he married Debra Kay Edwins at Lansing Christian School and she survives.
Don was the owner/operator of Quality Vending in Montpelier for 40 years. He was a longtime member of Solid Rock Community Church in West Unity, OH, where he served as an elder and on the missions’ board.
Over the years, Don coached baseball and softball and he loved watching his children and grandchildren in all their extracurricular activities.
He also enjoyed cheering on the Michigan State Spartans football and basketball teams (Go Green!).
Although family was extremely important to him, the most important relationship in Don’s life was his personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Don is survived by his wife of 49 years, Debra K. Gulick; mother, Barb Gulick of Bath, MI; seven children, Aaron (Larisa) Gulick of Commerce, GA, Angela (Brian) Fritsch of Montpelier, Julie (Mike) Ward of Archbold, Joshua (Kayla) Gulick of Bell Buckle, TN, Lisa (Joshua) Frank of Montpelier, Ashley (James) Brown of Hicksville and Wyatt (Sara) Gulick of Lawton, MI; 23 grandchildren, Leandra, Teanna, Mikaela, Colten, Elizabeth, Emily, Johnathan, Joel, Luke, Levi, Ezekiel, Jayden, Lincoln, Jaxon, Marisa, Charlotte, Jameson, Solomon, Clarissa, Madilynn, Blakely, Isaiah and Shepherd; six great grandchildren; two brothers, Todd (Jan) Gulick of Grand Ledge, MI and Nick Gulick of Laingsburg, MI; and sister, Tina White of Bath, MI.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald D. Gulick, Sr.; and grandson, Elijah Brown.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 14, 2023 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Solid Rock Community Church in West Unity. A celebration of Don’s life will take place at 1:00 pm at the church with Pastor Randy Evers to officiate.
