Helen M. Stahl, age 100 of Fayette, passed away early Monday, September 7, 2020, at her granddaughter’s residence. She was born in Springhill, OH on April 14, 1920, to the late Ray and Mabel (Brim) Brink. On August 16, 1941, she married Clayton Stahl in Angola, IN, and he preceded her in death on February 17, 1986.

Helen was a homemaker her whole life, and often did other odd jobs. She was a member of Winameg Christian Church. In her free time, she loved to sew – making quilts, dolls, and pillows.

Her and her family lived at Harrison Lake for over 50 years; which made fishing and walking around the lake another favorite pasttime of hers.

Surviving Helen are granddaughters, Natalie (Casey) Isakson and Lesley (Brian) Fruchey; and great-grandchildren, Austin (Chrissy) Shaffer, Tyler (Mariah) Downing, Katelyn Downing, and Hailey and Mackenzie Fruchey; great-great-grandchildren, Tatem and Asa Downing;  and a brother, Albert Brink.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Jerry A. Stahl; sisters, Mary Brink, Isabel Brink, Louise Fazekas, Edith Wonders, Hazel Crall, and Betty Ward; and brothers, George, Floyd, Ray, Byron, and Earl Brink.

Public graveside services will be held on Friday, September 11, 2020, at 11:00 AM, at the Pleasant View Union Cemetery in Fayette, with Pastor Jim Mann, officiating.

Those planning a memorial contribution in Helen’s memory are asked to consider Gorham-Fayette Fire Department or Community Health Professionals Hospice.  Online condolences to the family may be offered at www.eaglemarryfuneralhome.com.

The Eagle-Marry Funeral Home in Fayette is entrusted with arrangements.
