Neoma M. Hallett, age 94, of Wauseon, passed away at Embassy of Swanton on Monday, February 19, 2024.
Prior to her retirement she and her husband Earl had been caretakers at the Fulton County Fairgrounds for 16 years.
Neoma was born on November 7, 1929, the daughter of Charles and Maude (Boda) Dashner. On June 18, 1948 she married Earl Hallett, and he preceded her in death in 2000. Neoma was a member of the Odawa Native American Tribe.
Surviving are two daughters, Karen Bates and Paula (Paul) Zeller of Wauseon; one son, Michael (Cathy) Hallett of Lyons; six grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by both parents; her husband; brothers, Chester, Lester, Bert, Norman, Gerald and Joseph Dashner; sisters, Virginia Dashner, Norma Shawa and Nora Shaffer; and son-in-law, Elmer “Butch” Bates.
Visitation for Neoma will be held from 10:00 A.M. until 12:000 P.M. on Friday, February 23, 2024 at the Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home in Wauseon. The funeral service will immediately follow at 12:00 P.M., with Pastor Jeff Davis, officiating. Interment will follow in the Lyons Cemetery.
