(Archbold Resident For 57 Years)

Soila D. Lerma, age 83 years, of Archbold, passed away Friday evening, July 5, 2024, in her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born August 12, 1940 at San Antonio, Texas, the daughter of Gavino and Dorotea (Gonzales) Davila. She married Israel Lerma on April 14th 1961 and he survives.

A resident of Archbold for 57 years, she loved Jesus with all her heart and was a prayer warrior. A woman of faith who loved to share about Jesus.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking for her family and anyone who came over, she was known for her enchiladas that everyone loved. She also enjoyed shopping with friends and her daughters.

She especially enjoyed spending time with family and loved how they got together for any little thing.   She was a member of Templo Cristiano Assembly of God in Archbold and was involved in the women’s ministry and always helped out whenever needed.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Israel; children, Israel Lerma Jr. (Sue Garcia), Sam (Liz) Lerma, Daniel Lerma, Becky Haines, Eddie Lerma, and Dorothy (Eli) Baer all of Archbold; grandchildren Isreal (Megan) Lerma III, Frank (JoAnna) Lerma, Jarett Lerma (Brooke Hines), Ashley Haines, Jeremy Lerma (Kaitlyn Beck), Taylor Haines, Brittney Haines, Josiah Magallanes, Treven (Haley) Baer, Summer Baer and Jamian Baer; great-grandchildren, Elijah Lerma, Caleb Lerma, Mason Gineman, Camreigh Woolace and Jennex Haines.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Isidra Garcia; brothers, Eduardo Davila and Manuel Murillo.

Services will be held on Wednesday, July 10, at 11 AM at Templo Cristiano Assembly of God in Archbold with Pastor Misael Rodriguez officiating. Interment will follow in the Archbold Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 2-7 PM.

Short Funeral Home in Archbold has been entrusted with the arrangements.
