Six area students earned spots on the Trine University President’s List for the Spring 2026 semester — Cade Brenner of West Unity, Blake Dulle of Edon, Noah Jay of Montpelier, Ashlynn Martin of Pioneer, and Chloe Martin and Faith Miller of Montpelier. Honorees carried a 3.750-4.000 GPA on at least 12 hours.

STRYKER — On Friday, May 8, the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio completed its American Correctional Association (ACA) audit with 100% compliance across 400 standards — mandatory and non-mandatory. CCNO is one of only three jails in Ohio that voluntarily holds itself to ACA standards, and Executive Director Dennis Sullivan called the result “rare.”

Ohio Governor Mike DeWine today announced new fraud prevention initiatives to strengthen efforts to fight fraud, waste, and abuse in the Ohio Medicaid system — including a six-month moratorium on new home-healthcare and hospice Medicaid providers, immediate payment suspension for high-risk providers, an Executive Order for emergency rules, mandatory GPS for Electronic Visit Verification, and EVV for live-in caregivers.
